Benefit Bank

LIFE has recently become an Ohio Benefit Bank (OBB) site.  The OBB is a partnership between state government, social service agencies and faith-based organization designed to help eligible Ohioans apply for the benefits to which they are entitled.  For more information on the Benefit Bank in general, visit. www.obb.ohio.gov.

We have trained counselors that can assist clients in applying for Medicaid, Food Stamps, Child Care Assistance, Heating/Energy Assistance and more.  In addition, we've just added tax preparation to our services.  For eligible clients, LIFE counselors can file taxes for free, and generally get the client any refund within 7  days.  This avoids the predatory "refund anticipation loan" operations that many working poor use for tax assistance each year.

Feinstein Challenge

The Feinstein Foundation, created by Alan Shawn Feinstein, conducts an annual challenge to food pantries nationwide.  The Foundation seeks to increase awareness of hunger in the US by providing matching funds totalling $1 million to participating organizations based on their funds raised and food donations gathered from March 1 through April 30.

If you are considering a gift to LIFE, now is a great time to make that gift count even more.  All financial and food donations made to LIFE from March through April will be reported to Feinstein Foundation to help determine our share of the $1 million.

Our Mission

To provide faith-based emergency assistance and services to residents within the Loveland, Ohio School District, and to members of our supporting congregations, while working to identify needs and develop programs that will encourage self-sufficiency in individuals and families.

The L.I.F.E. food pantry is located in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 101 South Lebanon Road in Loveland, Ohio  45140.  Enter the double glass doors of the Parish Life Center.
