The photo below is of two 2nd grade classes who worked with Granny to harvest tomatoes and cucumbers from the gardens to donate to the LIFE pantry. One of the teacher's, Mrs. Gardis, delivered the produce--about a bushel of tomatoes, a dozen or so cucumbers, and about two bushels of potatoes that the classes dug from their gardens.

Mrs. Gardis and Mrs. Little are adopting the LIFE pantry this year. They will harvest each week from the gardens in addition to collecting canned good and other things for the pantry. For the week of this harvest, in addition to the produce, the students prepared about 50 miniature bouquets to give to the people who come to the pantry. Food for the body and flowers for the spirit.
